ACR White Paper recommendations (Mayo-Smith, et al. J Am Coll Radiol 2017;14:1038-1044) suggest the following:
For patients with positive cancer history, further evaluation with biopsy or PET-CT recommended. Consider biochemical evaluation to exclude pheochromocytoma before biopsy/resection.
For patients without cancer history, surgical resection recommended. Consider biochemical evaluation to exclude pheochromocytoma before biopsy/resection.
